Welcome the new musical season with timeless pieces that feel like old friends—an invitation to reconnect with the music that feels most like home. This concert features CMOTF favorites Isabella Lippi, Scott Metlicka, Bruno Vaz da Silva, and Sara Sitzer in an intimate quartet; audiences will hear Mozart’s exquisite Flute Quartet in D Major and Beethoven’s lovely String Trio No. 3 in G Major, as well as the music of Heitor Villa-Lobos with The Jet Whistle. The program culminates with To Bright Cecilia by Elgin’s own Daniel Brewbaker. Originally scored for a capella chorus, this will be a new imagining of this piece, performed by flute and string trio. With a program full of cherished classics and a celebration of local talent, this is a truly special homecoming you won’t want to miss.
